Love List: Summer 2020 Edition

Love List: Summer 2020 Edition

This summer has been monumental for us on Team Brightland. After two golden years, the Brightland family introduced fruit-forward, double-fermented and family-farm to table Vinegars, each with their own distinct flavor palate and tasting notes. As we lean into a summer of growth, change, and continued time at home, these are the things we have been loving.

1. Estelle Colored Glass

This luxury brand of modern hand-blown colored glass is the pastel glassware of our dreams. We cannot get enough of their stunning pieces, founded by Stephanie Hall and inspired by her grandmother's vintage aesthetic.

2. Eating on the Wild Side by Jo Robinson

Jo Robinson explores modern varieties of fruits and vegetables that approach the nutritional content of wild plants but that also please the modern palate. She explains that many of these can be found in supermarkets and farmer's market, and introduces simple, scientifically proven methods of preparation that enhance their flavor and nutrition. Eating on the Wild Side has forever changed the way we think about food.

3. 228 Grant Street Candle Co.

228 Grant Street Candle Co. scented candles are made in Baltimore with all-natural soy wax, braided cotton wicks, and scented oils. Just wax, wick, and scent with no other additives or dyes. We always love a good candle, and this is definitely our favorite of the moment.

4. Brightland Vinegars

This summer, Brightland introduced our fruit-forward, double-fermented and family-farm to table Vinegars, each with their own distinct flavor palate and tasting notes. PARASOL and RAPTURE are on track to be our most-used ingredients with summer salads, cocktails and desserts

5. On the Line with Kia Damon

Cherry Bombe's new weekly Instagram Live show with Kia Damon combines Chef Kia's pantry staple prowess, her mental health advocacy, and her insightful conversations with some of the most interesting folks in and around the food world.

6. Museum of Peace and Quiet Crewneck Sweatshirt

We love everything Museum of Peace and Quiet releases in their limited-edition drops, and are currently living in their unbelievably comfortable crewneck sweatshirt.

7. Bread SRSLY Gluten-Free Sourdough

Bread SRSLY's Gluten-Free Sourdough is made with organic gluten-free grains and wild fermentation to produce traditional sourdough bread that is delicious and nourishing. Our go-to afternoon snack these days is some warm sourdough dipped in AWAKE and RAPTURE.
