Annie Campbell, owner of a catering and event production company in Los Angeles, has shared her recipe for Olive Oil Washed Negronis —the perfect drink for easy hosting!
For the Negroni
1/2 cup olive oil washed gin (recipe below)
1/2 cup Campari
1/2 cup sweet vermouth
4 orange peels
Combine the olive oil washed gin, Campari and sweet vermouth in a pitcher filled with ice and stir together. Fill 4 glasses with ice. Divide the Negroni between the 4 glasses and garnish with orange peels.
Combine the olive oil and gin and shake well. Transfer to a wide mouth container large enough to hold the gin and olive oil mixture. Transfer mixture to the freezer and store it there overnight. Reserve the bottle.
Remove the gin and olive oil mixture from the freezer. Carefully remove the solidified olive oil from the surface of the gin. Transfer the gin back into the bottle and store it there until ready to use.
