Rethink Food Spotlight

We are thrilled to partner with Rethink Food, a 501(c)3 nonprofit on a mission to reduce food insecurity by developing practical models that distribute meals to nourish communities. We are starting off the year with a donation of Brightland olive oil to Rethink's donation-based cafe in Brooklyn and their Commissary Kitchen that produces nearly 4,000 meals a week.

1.4 million people face hunger in New York City alone, and 40 percent of all food produced in America ends up going to waste. Rethink is committed repurposing excess food into free and low-cost meals to people in need. Rethink Certified is their network of restaurants, chefs and more working to provide nutritious meals for communities impacted by food insecurity. They utilize excess food from their restaurant partners to prepare meals, and work with corporate partners to create systematic change. Rethink Cafe is a donation-based cafe that invites anyone to enjoy a nutritionally dense meal for a suggested price of $5. They also offer a stocked market pantry to create nutritious and affordable food options for all. Everyone deserves access to nutritious food. Rethink has provided over 2.5 million meals to residents across the nation. If you have the means, please consider donating to help feed your community.
