Ingredients

  1. 1 pre-made or homemade pizza dough
  2. 3 Tbsp of Brightland Pizza Oil
  3. 2 cups whole milk mozzarella cheese, shredded
  4. 1/2 bell pepper, sliced and sautéed
  5. 1 onion, thinly sliced and grilled
  6. 1 jalapeno, thinly sliced
  7. 1 Italian sausage link, crumbled

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to its highest temperature, typically around 500°F to 550°F. Place a pizza stone in the oven and let it heat for at least 30 minutes to ensure a crispy crust.
  2. Prepare the Dough: While the oven is heating, stretch the pizza dough on a floured surface, aiming for even thickness and a shape that fits your pizza stone or baking sheet.
  3. Apply the Base: Once stretched, generously brush 2 tablespoons of Brightland Pizza Oil over the entire dough surface for flavor and a crispy base.
  4. Layer the Cheese: Sprinkle 2 cups of whole milk mozzarella cheese evenly over the oiled dough, ensuring good coverage without being too thick.
  5. Add the Veggies: Evenly scatter 1 cup of roasted bell peppers, 1/2 cup of grilled onions, and 1/4 cup of sliced jalapenos over the cheese for a blend of sweetness, smokiness, and heat.
  6. Top with Sausage: Distribute small chunks of the crumbled Italian sausage (about 1/2 pound) evenly over the pizza for savory and juicy bites when cooked.
  7. Final Oil Drizzle: Drizzle another layer of Brightland Pizza Oil over the pizza to enhance flavors and aid in cooking.
  8. Bake: Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated stone and bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  9. Finish and Serve: After baking, drizzle more Brightland Pizza Oil for an extra burst of flavor. Slice and enjoy your homemade pizza masterpiece!
